Design & Construct

Thanks to a phenomenal design which pushed the boundaries of the concept: wall street meets funky tech, PMG were selected to design and construct the new office for ACY Group. The brief called for an office that offers two two very distinct spaces which align with their business identities whilst uniting the teams with communal spaces and with one consistent theme – dynamic shapes and high contrast finishes. The ACY Capital brand being identified by sleek finishes, technology and simplistic architectural detailing. Zerologix takes on a more vibrant and fun feel.

To achieve the distinction between the two businesses the whole floor was split into two with a shared reception & breakout at each end to bring the teams together whilst still functionally separating the distinctly different businesses. Your experience starts in the dark toned reception area with straight lines, sculptured furniture detailing, & angled LED lighting creating a sleek and high tech feel for visitors. Behind reception are two boardrooms, one for each business, with the flexibility to be combined to create a large seminar room with in-built tech and minibars.

The straight lines are extended throughout the floor plate, through the bold blue zigzag pattern in the flooring and corresponding painted ceiling detail. The blue core wall feature injects a dynamic feel and links both sides with one consistent element. The team are offered options for collaboration, formal meetings, focus work and private calls. Greenery is introduced throughout to create a balance with the theatrics of the space.

The vibrant breakout space is the heart of the office, providing various settings for dining, collaborating, and team fun with the pool table and karaoke.

Travelling through the breakout, we arrive in the Zerologix space; featuring casual meeting areas and zones to encourage and enhance team collaboration along the windows. This window zone is visually defined by artificial grass flooring, funky furniture & writable surfaces around the columns to truly inspire. Pops of colour on the table tops, the columns, and furniture pieces successfully add to the funky tech vibe.

Working to a very compressed programme of eight weeks from design and documentation through to handover, the team managed client changes, lead times, building management and our trades to deliver an impressive result and getting the team in on time!
