THE PROJECT
Wattlestone is a private investment group with diverse interests in the energy, business services, and real estate sectors.
Having outgrown their previous office, Wattlestone made a strategic decision to relocate to Level 35 of the renowned Riparian Plaza, capitalising on the breathtaking views of Brisbane city and the surrounding bay region. PMG was engaged to create, design, and build a modern and sophisticated fit-out for Wattlestone’s workspace that reflected their prestige and matched the building’s exceptional amenity and location.
DESIGN SOLUTIONS
- Collaborative sessions were conducted to understand Wattlestone’s vision, requirements, and desired aesthetic for their new workspace.
- Two distinct meeting rooms were created to cater to different client interactions – a luxurious boardroom provides a formal setting, while a more casual meeting room presents leather lounges and offers a relaxed environment for entertaining clients.
- The workspace area was designed to make a lasting impression, incorporating offices strategically positioned to showcase the breathtaking mountain views to the west of Brisbane.
- A kitchen area was included in the design, offering not only functionality but also stunning views of the surrounding landscape and a mirrored splashback creating a sense of spaciousness.
- The green and gold colours of Wattlestone’s logo were utilised as the foundation for developing finishes throughout the space, adding a touch of sophistication, and reinforcing brand identity.
- Design details include timber doors, leather furniture, tile floors and luxurious carpets, creating a refined and upscale atmosphere.
- A large monochrome artwork, featuring Brisbane’s iconic Customs House and Story Bridge, adds a focal point in the casual meeting room and celebrated the city’s architectural heritage.
THE RESULTS
The result is a sophisticated and high-quality workspace that perfectly aligned with Wattlestone’s requirements and the prestigious Riparian Plaza location. With attention to design details and a focus on creating a refined ambiance, Wattlestone now possesses a workspace that reflects their prestige and sets the stage for continued success.
