Modernist Clarity

Modernist Clarity: Clean Lines Meet Warm Textures

Spec Suite | Design & Build | 521sqm

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Continuing the Design Language
Goodman engaged PMG to continue the rollout of their ‘Modernist’ spec suite design, a concept built on simplicity and functionality. The brief was clear: create open and uncluttered spaces where sleek, clean lines dominate over decorative additions. Yet within this minimalist framework, warm tones and rich timber textures needed to create an inviting workplace that feels human, not sterile.

THOUGHTFUL DESIGN WITH ADVENTUROUS MOMENTS

Pushing Boundaries Within the Framework
The Modernist design language translates beautifully to the 521sqm suite; functional layouts with a strong spatial hierarchy, warm material choices that soften the clean lines, and carefully considered details that elevate without cluttering.

This project marked Goodman’s first venture into textured vinyl film for a feature screen, a slightly adventurous move for the client. After reviewing extensive samples together, they selected a ‘drops and fizzle glass’ vinyl that adds visual interest whilst maintaining the refined aesthetic.

CUSTOM FEATURES THAT DEFINE THE SPACE

Balancing Warmth and Clarity
Rich timber textures throughout create warmth against the clean, uncluttered backdrop. The custom textured vinyl feature screen becomes a focal point without overwhelming the space. Open planning maximises natural light and sightlines whilst maintaining the functional zones tenants need.

Quality finishes from trusted suppliers; Infinity Commercial Furniture, Globewest, About Space, Instyle, Shaw Contract, Tarkett, Interface, Polytec, Laminex, and Dulux, deliver the refined execution the Modernist concept demands.

THE RESULT

Adaptable Design, Client Satisfaction

The project navigated an interesting journey. Placed on hold when a potential tenant needed a larger space, the team tested various space plans to accommodate requirements whilst maintaining design integrity. When that tenant went another direction, the project was fast tracked to recover lost time.

The outcome? Goodman are extremely happy with the result. The Modernist design continues to prove its market appeal, balancing the minimalist clarity tenants want with the warmth that makes spaces feel welcoming. Clean lines, warm textures, functional layouts. Simple, but never cold.
