PMG proudly delivered Holcim’s new Brisbane office, a project that reflects a refreshed new brand identity and builds on the success of previous projects in North Sydney and Norwest locations.

Key Objectives

Holcim sought to:

• Ensure the standard of workplace design was extended to the Brisbane office.
• Unite their teams on a single floor plate.
• Create a new office environment that attracts employees back to the workplace, with a space that supports collaboration, social interaction, and focused work.

Design Solutions

The Brisbane office’s unique building design, featuring an internal atrium and striking views of the Brisbane River, provided a creative foundation for the project. Key design highlights include:

• Maximising natural light and views: The layout was planned to prioritise sightlines to the river, positioning both client meeting areas and employee breakout spaces to make the most of this unique feature.
• Connection to greenery: Workstations were positioned along the glazing, creating an open, visually connected environment that brings the outdoors in.
• Clever use of space: Despite the atrium dividing the floor plate, the design maintains cohesion, offering a seamless flow between workspaces and communal areas.
• National design consistency: Incorporating features used in Holcim’s Sydney offices, reinforced brand identity while tailoring the approach to the local context.

Project Management Excellence

PMG’s expert project management ensured successful delivery despite tight timelines and complex requirements. Key achievements include:

• Efficient timelines: Managing the demolition of the existing fit-out and an upgrade of amenities within a constrained schedule to ensure timely handover before the lease expiry.
• Budget prioritisation: Strategic allocation of the budget focused on staff wellbeing and maintaining the original design intent without compromise.

The Brisbane office design unites Holcim’s teams on a single, collaborative floor plate, enhancing productivity and fostering a sense of connection.
